Enfield No 1 Mk III training rifle. Caliber is .22 LR. This rifle started life as a 1916 dated SMLE but was arsenal converted to a single shot .22 training rifle. It has a regular magazine, not an empty box. The bore is very good. The bolt has been converted to rimfire. This one still has the less commonly found magazine cut off, and rear sight adjustable for windage as well as elevation. The metal finish is very good. The wood is also in very good condition with the usual dings found in a 94 year old rifle. Both the rear and front hand guards both have a small crack, both stable and very thin and in no way affect the performance or overall appearance. There is a brass disc in the butt which appears to be an aftermarket replacement. This is a very nice example of an Enfield variation which is becoming harder to find, and will make a great, shootable addition to any military or Enfield collection. $575.00 Includes FREE Delivery. 2527457821 or 3855HL(at)gmail(dot)com for pics, info, questions.
