Ansley H. Fox’s double guns have become the most desirable vintage American double guns on the planet. There are a LOT of 12ga. A Grade Fox guns available to own so how do you choose which one to buy? For investment and enjoyment of use, finding Fox guns that have been fully inspected, documented by experts, fully cleaned, and brought up to superb condition visually and mechanically make the most sense for your hard-earned money. This is what we have here in this Fox AE Grade 12ga., sn30329 built in Philadelphia PA in 1926. This Fox has condition, shipped with 30” number 3 weight barrels with mirror shiny bores. PRESENTLY IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND 2 ½” 12GA. SHELLS. BECAUSE OF THIS, VFI GUNSMITHS HAVE CAREFULLY MEASURED THE BARREL WALL THICKNESS AHEAD OF THE CHAMBER AND HAVE LENGTHENED THE CHAMBERS TO 2 ¾” AND EXTENDED THE FORCING CONES TO 1 ½” TAPERS SO THAT YOU CAN SHOOT MODERN 2 ¾” FIELD LOADS THROUGH OUR GUNS. This is a $360 service in our shop. The action retains 50% factory case color, engraving still sharp, with excellent screws, double ivory beads, mechanics excellent, barrels tight as new on hinge and breech face, all in superb working order. This is a VFI CERTIFIED GUN, meaning we stripped the action and forend iron to the smallest part, cleaned all in the Ultrasonic cleaner, scrubbed each part and inspected all for function and integrity, properly lubricated and reassembled. VFI CERTIFIED guns have a 90-day mechanical warranty (a $275 service in our shop). THIS IS THE KIND OF GUN THAT WATERFOWLERS, TURKEY HUNTERS, WILD PHEASANT HUNTERS, AND SPORTING CLAYS FANS SEEK OUT FOR THEIR SPORT. Weighing 7lbs. 5oz. and balanced ½” ahead of the hinge pin, it will prove deadly in the field or on the range. With all the vintage sporting clays shoots popping up across the country, this is a great Fox to show off at the club. You deserve a fine A.H. Fox for this year’s hunting season, so don’t hesitate. This fine Fox A Grade has it all with great stock dimensions (see specs below), perfect mechanics, and notable good looks! This is a gun you can use and enjoy, and it will continue to gain value.
