Manufacturer was Smith & Wesson, 2100 Roosevelt Ave., Springfield, MA. From its 3D06000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1979, under Bangor Punta Corporate Ownership. Type is traditional double and single action medium frame revolver. Construction is entirely steel metal with original factory service sized magna style grips. Frame is K medium sized, with square butt grip frame. Chambering is .38 Smith & Wesson Special caliber, acceptable for firing +P loads. Barrel is 4inch Heavy type, pinned into the frame.
