Description: This R1A1 from Century was bought from SOG several years ago as a "Carbine" unit. It is in overall very good condition, with the exception of the muzzle device which has some scratches and chips. The barrel is actually shorter than 16 inches (approximately 13") and is covered by a muzzle break that is pinned and soldered to bring the gun to legal length (16"). The gun has a Century Arms receiver (Not Hesse or Imbel)marked R1A1. It has a feed ramp that is the single feed style, not "widows peak" style. It needed very little polishing to run reliably. The barrel length contributes to a louder report and larger muzzle flash than in the standard 16' guns and runs very well gas settings at 6. A fun gun to shoot. Receiver cover has a scope mount built into it. Does not come with 30 round magazine shown. The M1 Carbine pictured under it is just shown for size comparison.
