Select grade Walnut, ebony tipped stock with cheek rest and Pachmyer recoil pad. Deep blued 26 1/2" barrel measures .70 at muzzle and .850 at fore end. Trigger breaks like glass at 3 lbs. Button release steel floor plate. Cycles the big 45-70 rounds smoothly. Very accurate. One small chip near loading port, minor dings from carry and storage. Bore is bright and rifling excellent. Original Bolt handle turned down showing excellent weld at bend. These rifles originally were built with dust covers, which were removed during the conversion process. This is a serious heavy game working rifle for any North American hunting. Weight is 9lbs.
