It is a Mark Morris full size Colt Series 80 Hard Chrome Government model 45 acp. The gun was built in the mid 1980's and has a letter from the craftsman to verify the gun. As with this particular piece I also owned it at one time and passed it on to another when funds were needed elsewhere. I know the sights have been updated from the traditional Heinie Sight to a Traditional Heinie Straight Eight Night Sight. Again the gun is preowned and used and has been through three owners including me that I know of, the original, me and the consignee. Consignee states never a function issue and the original Heinie night sights at the time were dead and replaced with the ones on the gun in 2002. The gun reflect the hand work of twenty to twenty-five years ago. Anyone in the custom gun world knows that quality pieces have a very, very, very, long service life and several folks can enjoy them over the life of the gun. What you see is what you get.
