Serial number 111423 is wonderfully-upgraded game gun that features a solid rib, double beads (white front, red middle), removable sidelocks, mechanical safety and a properly configured Miller single select trigger. STOCK: Custom by George Hoenig, the beavertail forend and English butt were selected for delicate grain as appropriate for a 28 gauge. The forend incorporates the original furniture. The stock features teardrops, heel and toe clips and a finely checkered butt. While Hoenig did the wood and checkering, Keith Kearcher made the clips and handled the finish work. He also arranged the engraving of the toe clips to be done by someone (name has been lost) who was known for his work on fine English doubles. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 6.4 pounds, length-of-pull is 14 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.5 inches, and cast off is approximately .375-inch. CONDITION: Bores are bright, strong and fully on face. Opening lever closes to the right. Barrel and guard rust blue is about 97 percent with only slight evidence of thinning.
