This listing is for the exact pistol in the photos. Here is Sig’s P220R in .45 ACP Caliber. This 220 served with Sheriff V. Stuart Cook’s officers in Hanover County, Virginia, issued in 2004. Frame manufacturer was Sig Sauer gmbh of Eckernförde, Germany. Slide manufacturer and Importer was Sig Sauer of Exeter, NH, and the frame is so marked. Type is locked breech hammer fired traditional single and double action semi automatic pistol. Construction is stainless steel slide, with steel barrel, trigger, hammer, and internal parts all assembled into a lightweight alloy grip frame. Chambering is .45 ACP Caliber. Barrel is 4 1/4 inch with six groove 1:16 right hand rifling. Slide has serrated rear lateral surfaces and is 1.10 wide at the port. Sights are factory issue steel dovetailed Trijicons, drift adjustable only for windage. Frame has a square serrated face trigger guard, with integral three slot Picatinny rail. Trigger is .300 serrated face combat type, housed inside a square trigger guard. Hammer is .312 serrated spur. Trigger is two stage on double action, 1/4 inch to engagement with 1 inch of travel to fire position, 12 pound vicinity pull. Single action pull is two stage as well, about 1/4 inch to engagement with an original 4 pound pull with minimal felt creep and overtravel. Sigs all have a firing pin block safety. Grips are factory issue stippled surface black polymer. This 220 comes with two new Act-Mag Italian 8 shot magazines, so fully loaded capacity of 9 rounds. Weight empty is 31 ounces, with center of gravity just forward of the magazine release. Weight fully loaded is approximately 42 ounces. Finish is original factory black Nitron frame and matte blue slide. Surface detractions on this specimen are minimal moderate, principally faint occasional edge wear. We rate it as Very Good, 80 to 85 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate this 220 has been fired fewer than 1500 rounds; slide to frame fit is tight, not loose. We estimate its Night Sights to retain 50 percent of their original luminosity, but we will refill to white dot upon buyer’s request.
