It came from the California Prison System (CDC) and it has a bright bore, no pits and the standard red prison lanyard. It has plenty of scratches & holster wear, but it's one of those guns that was carried a lot but shot little. Also the rear sight has a dent on the left side, but it still works fine and it's easy to replace if you feel the need. See the attached pictures to see exactly what you're getting. This revolver was manufactured in 1984 and used in the the California State Prison system for over 30 years. Imagine the criminals this gun has faced down and the correction officers who trusted it with their lives. It still has the red lanyard used by prison guards to control their weapon. I'm a professional gunsmith and I completely disassembled / cleaned / inspected this gun so I know it is mechanically sound. The timing, head-space, barrel shake and ranging are all within specifications and when I test fired it, the gun ran flawlessly. There are no plastic or MIM parts used on this gun, it was built to last. Sorry California, but this gun isn't on the DOJ Firearms Roster so it can't be sold there. Buy a piece of California history.
