Nitride Finished-- This one is the deepest engraved one I have ever seen. I see no wear on the breach face. When I purchased this it had no evidence of having been fired and I have not fired it. The breach face is like a babies bottom

Note the sculpted trigger guard. – Full coverage and deep engraving and note how it curves inward

Essentially 100 percent coverage on the entire gun--- often there are open spots or large flat areas but not here-

People will walk across the parking lot to look at this

Here is one Dupont has now but a less detailed version they are selling for $30,000 without the gold target top latch or the sculpted trigger guard

Previously the Crown, Gold Target and Monte Carlo are all grouped together as a category in the past. The Gold Target/ Monarch having the greatest amount of coverage. Now because of labor costs there are many lessor hen scratch engraving patterns rather than these deep scroll patters

I see this catalog item for Dupont which is similar but lessor in detail

That Dupont ad shows a Monarch--- now the Monarch shown does not include a full deeply scroll engraved top latch . A full deep scroll and gold target top latch is about $4500 Speciall order item. It does also not include much engraving on the trigger guard (where this one is full coverage and sculpted) The engraving on mine is much deeper than catalog and several times deeper than a gold plantation that looks like hen scratch in comparison

The monarch ( although not as deep and without the gold target deep scroll toplatch and trigger guard) is also listed in the UK catalogue Krieghoff UK & Ireland
