Description: The Model 1894 action was used to make the Model 64 rifle and the result was a fine looking deer rifle that carried well in the woods and mountains. This one, SN 1630745, was produced in 1950 and fitted with the Lyman fully adjustable peep sight you see in the photo. I have taken Whitetails in the hills of Wisconsin and Mule Deer in the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming with this superb rifle. The bore is Fine and the original blue covers 99.9% of the metal , including the checkered steel buttplate. The wood is also fine with few light handling marks. Perfect for the collector and shooter. The first, original owner was a big, heavy German who worked in the Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee I suspect that he never had the opportunity to take it into the Wisconsin Northwoods because it showed no use when I purchased it from him in 1960. I trust that next owner will care for this rifle, too. It is so accurate that I shot 3 quail and 1 grouse with it while hunting deer in the California mountains, and 1 Blue grouse in Colorado. My son dropped a large Elk with his M64 in CO... M64's are Big Game rifles in the hands of real hunters. .
