This revolver and its mates served with the Virginia Department of Corrections, issued in 2007 at the Green Rock Correctional Center . Type is traditional double and single action revolver with internal transfer bar safety device. Construction is stainless steel barrel, cylinder assembly, and frame with steel hammer, trigger, and internal parts. Frame is K Magnum round butt, smooth surface grip frame. Barrel is two piece heavy 4 inch with 1:18.75 five groove right hand rifling. Sights are barrel shroud integral 1/8 inch serrated ramp front on solid rib, with frame integral fixed notch rear. Trigger is factory MIM, Metal Injected Molded .312 smooth faced combat style, with matching .265 serrated spur service width hammer with floating firing pin ignition. Cylinder capacity is 6 rounds of .38 Special standard or +P high performance ammunition. Note the beveled newer style cylinder release thumb latch and internal hammer lock positioned above it. Overall length is 9 1/2 inches; cylinder diameter is 1.465 inches; height is 4 3/4 inches. Weight empty is 36 ounces, with center of gravity at the trigger. Grips are original factory Michaels Combat. Finish is polished stainless with matte sight surfaces. Surface detractions are minimal to moderate, principally holster buffing and small amounts of contact marking on its top and on the right side of the frame. We rate them as Very Good, perhaps even Excellent, 85 to 90 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to check our grading. Bore, cylinder chambers, and mechanism are all bright and clean.
