Description: In 1956 Russia ended production of the SKS rifle at the Tula Arsenal. The Russians shipped the tooling to China along with technical advisors, who helped set up the manufacturing and training of the Chinese workers at Jianshe Arsenal (aka factory 26). Factory 26 rifles have a reputation of being the best manufactured with the highest quality control of all Chinese SKS rifles. Most SKS Chinese rifles in the Vietnam War came from Factory 26. This is a Factory 26 Chinese SKS rifle Cal. 7.62x39. According to the serial number the rifle was manufactured at the Arsenal in 1966. Rifle has all stamped matching serial numbered parts: receiver, stock, bolt, receiver cover, bolt carrier, magazine and trigger guard. Gas tube is matching via electric pencil. Bore is bright with sharp lands. It appears the rifle is in its original configuration as it left the factory in 1966. Minor metal blue wear. Rifle comes with original importers box, owners manual, tool kit and Chinese canvas sling. Credit card buyers e-mail before purchase.
