Spies was a prolific seller and importer based in New York, NY in the first half of the 19th century. 32" barrels, about 10 gauge bores. Metal parts were lightly cleaned with attractive engraving and minimal pitting in the nipple area. Stock is good, has a nice cap box in the underside of the butt, shows average wear and use with some minor nicks in the edges and a small crack above the right lock. Left lock functions, right lock is missing the main spring. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
