Smith / Hunter Arms Ideal Featherweight 12 gauge with Hunter One Trigger (select) and ejectors. Serial 39903 wears 28-inch barrels choked M/F with 2.75-inch chambers. Features include mechanical safety and beavertail forend. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.2 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14.0 inches, drops are 1.5 and 2.75 inches and cast off is just .15-inch. CONDITION: Barrels are slightly loose on face. Bores are very good, with left barrel showing evidence of a ding at 9 o'clock about eight inches from muzzle. Ejectors, trigger and safety operate properly. Lever closes just right of center. Barrel blue appears original (sharp markings) and stands at 50 percent with general thinning. Guard is similar. Receiver colors have transitioned to tarnished silver. Wood finish has generally thinned. Beavertail hosts a number of scratches and field impressions. Stock is similar, with a brighter finish that suggests sanding and enhancement. Butt pad is a possible replacement, as wood is no longer proud. CASE: Unmarked leg-of-mutton takedown case has good leather but a loose interior. Includes a three-piece oak cleaning rod. The price is firm and layaway is available.
