This S&W Model 66-2 with a 6” barrel is configured for an NRA PPC Distinguished Match revolver. This K framed revolver was purchased and sent to the late George Wessinger. He inspected and fine tuned the action. He removed the front ramp sight and replaced it with a patridge front sight and replaced the serrated trigger with a smooth trigger. It has Hogue rubber grips for positive grip. It was later sent to MoJo Custom Guns (Joe Leinenger, Howell, MI) for a tune up. Joe performed an action job, checked the chamfering on the cylinder and forcing cone, checked the lock up so it would be perfect and smooth for a Distinguished (Leg Gun) Match. Those of you who need an accurate revolver for the NRA Distinguished Match competition, GADPA, ICORE Classic or IDPA matches, this revolver is ready. This revolver does not sport the new internal locking system (ILS). The model 66 Smith & Wesson is the stainless-steel version of the famous model 19.
