Description: BOWEN BELT BUCKLE KNIFE VINTAGE DROP POINT KNIFE WITH BELT Preowned knife like new Vintage Bowen Knife Company U.S.A. knife/buckle. This is the knife with the belt. This knife was designed by knife maker Blackie Collins and the design sold to the Bowen Co. Made from 440C steel. The sharp satin finished single edge drop point blade measures 2 3/4” and the overall length is approximately 5 ¾”. This is the very original knife. Laser engraved on the blade is; “ the BOWEN LOGO, ATLANTA, USA, PAT PEND” The belt is stamped “BOWEN KNIFE” and “***ADE CUTLERY” There is an unsubstantiated story that it was designed by Blackie Collins at the request of Billy Joel to wear on stage. ONLY AN UNPROVEN STORY. The Bowen Belt Knife is also a Belt Buckle by design, which allows easy concealment despite its’ visible presence. This knife is pre-owned like new, the belt however shows use and age needs cleaning and re-dying and it measures about 36” from the cinching peg to the last belt hole. Not a copy . . . the original.
