Here is Browning’s sweetest shooting varmint rifle, the T-Bolt Composite Sporter chambered in .17 HMR caliber. Manufacturer, of course, is B.C. Miroku of Nankoku, Japan. Importer and warrantor is Browning Arms, Arnold, Missouri. Construction is blued steel barrel and receiver, white steel bolt body with blued handle, crossbolt, and extractor; steel internal parts; gold plated alloy .350 smooth faced adjustable trigger, polymer trigger guard and housing assembly; and two distinctive figure 8 double helix steel spring loaded T-bolt magazines. The T-Bolt comes with a total of one magazine, and extra magazines are readily available throughout the country. Barrel is medium 22 inch tapered, .702 outside diameter at the muzzle, .785 osd at the forend, and .830 at the receiver. Bore is six groove 1:9 right hand rifled. The T-Bolt’s barrel does not carry any iron sights, but receiver is drilled for Weaver #15 scope bases. Safety is tang type, capable of silence. Trigger pull is 4 pound vicinity, pulls single stage with negligible felt creep and overtravel. Magazines are Browning Double Helix type, and hold 10 rounds of .17 HMR caliber ammunition. Stock is one piece graphite based synthetic, with blued steel swivel studs, cheek piece, checkered laterals, and magazine storage cavity in the buttplate. Buttstock length of pull is 13 1/2 inches from the trigger face to the end of the black polymer buttplate. Weight empty is 5 pounds 5 ounces, with center of gravity at the forcing cone. Overall length is 40 1/4 inches. Finish is matte surface blued steel barrel and receiver, white steel bolt with blued handle and parts, and satin finish black stock. Each T-Bolt comes in its factory box with protective papers, barrel sticker, owner’s manual, NRA card, NSSF safety booklet, cable lock, and factory registration card.
