Serial numbers are E 57071, and E 57070!! I got them at separate auctions. Both are unfired and near mint condition but I'm listing them as never fired since there are no boxes but I do have them in a glass top display case. Photo now up. Both are .44 cal. Cylinders are .44 caliber and the frame is cut for both to fit. Cylinder is a .44 cal. size. Bores are also .44 cal. Actions for both are tight. These are beauties. Excellent cartouches for both on left sides only. In the late 1850's, Colt decided to make a lighter .44 caliber revolver. He tried to make the dragoons lighter by making the fluted cylinder. But that didn't work. The use of the 1851 navy was the best to work with. The Brits came up with "Silvered Steel" which was stronger that the iron. So, some 1851 navy revolvers were done in .44 cal. From this idea came the model 1860. Armi San Marco has provided us with is this reproduction I am offering. I may have left some details out, can't remember everything.
