Description:
This is a Winchester, model 41-410, bolt action, single shot, full choke, .410 shotgun, no serial number, round, 24" barrel, with 2½" chamber and a one piece, walnut stock. This gun was produced for only 15 years, 1920~1934 inclusive, with approximately 22,145 manufactured. This smoothbore's barrel interior is mirror bright, showing very little wear. The stock has its normal share of scratches, scrapes and use marks, in the varnished finish but there are no cracks, fractures or chips, in the stock. The original, acrylic, Winchester butt plate is in place and intact. The barrel metal is a dark blue, with some dullness, on the underside but does not appear to have ever been re-blued. The blueing appears original. No rust is noted, except for a few specs, on the bottom of the trigger housing (see photo) but there is some wearing of the blueing, at the rear of the bolt housing (see photo) and at the muzzle (see photo). Not many of these have survived the years. With so few of these made and this one’s excellent condition, it would make a nice addition, to any Winchester collection.
