The Krieghoff K80 has been the most popular competition gun in the United States for many decades and for good reason. THEY WIN TOURNAMENTS AND BRING GREAT PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP. The receiver on the K80 is CNC machined from solid forged steel, then meticulously hand fit and finished by the best of German gunmakers. Krieghoff makes the K80 gun in many models, differing mostly in the amount of decoration, the action being the same on their least or most expensive guns. The gun we have here is a custom-ordered K80 Pro Sporting gun with floating rib and in a 4 gauge, 4 barrel set, all barrels being 32”. This stunning K80 was ordered with factory custom engraving called “Gold Eleganza” and is paired with #3 upgraded Turkish walnut. Serial numbered 113687 and built in 2018, the gun is in 99% factory original condition with only a few light handling marks in the wood. As you would expect, all four barrel sets balance the gun dead on the hinge pin with the exception of the .410 set that balances just behind the hinge pin. The gun weighs 9lbs. 2oz. plus or minus a fraction of an ounce with all barrel sets. This is a tournament proper 4-gauge set. Each barrel set has 5 Krieghoff screw-in choke tubes to include SK/IC/LM/M/IM constrictions. The 12ga. and 20ga. chokes are Titanium choke tubes. The Gold Eleganza engraving is a deeply chiseled floral design with dark shadowed background, highlighted in gold wire inlays throughout the pattern, and signed by the Bonsi Brothers…very desirable engravers of the Krieghoff K80 custom guns. The stock is a stunning piece of Turkish walnut with a right-hand palm swell, adjustable comb, and a 14 ¼” LOP to the factory pad. The 12ga. barrels have a few light handling marks on the rib and rate 99% while the small gauge sets seem like they were never used and have 100% factory finish with no marks. All sets are chambered for 3” shells. The gun is mechanically excellent in all ways, with the barrels tight on the trunnions and breech face, top lever well right of center, ejectors strong and well timed, and the trigger breaking crisp at 4.5lbs. pull. The gun is cased in a Negrini hard case that protects the gun and barrel sets for travel and storage. If you wanted to order this gun new today the MSRP is $42,935 plus tax.
