The frame has excellent sharps patent markings on the left side and excellent sharps and Lawrence markings on the lockplate. The lockplate also has the complete priming system. Also has the Serial# C31,882 marked on the top tang. Serial range C 30,000 to C 40,000 adapted for Socket type bayonet 6,150 produced. Metal overall has an aged grey patina finish with a little fine pitting in areas. The stock has the Iron patchbox , sling swivel and buttplate .
