Made in 1938, serial number 787020 is a Skeet model with 26-inch barrel choked WS-1, original solid rib (offset proof mark) with double beads, checkered forend and grip, Winchester pistol grip cap and butt plate. Even for a Deluxe, the wood is outstanding. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.2 pounds, length of pull is 14 inches and drops are 1.5 and 2.75 inched. Cast off is slight, approximately .25 inch. CONDITION: As carefully restored, the barrel retains approximately 98% of its rust blue and the magazine tube about 90%. The receiver is at least 95%, with finish wear concentrated around the leading edge from takedown. Likely restored, the wood finish is about 98%. Integrity is about the same, with only light and scattered rubs and impressions. The front bead is red and the butt plate has slight chipping at the toe. Price is firm and layaway is available.
