Most double gun enthusiasts are aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of far superior strength and mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 32,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm sure to appreciate as you enjoy its use. From 1930 to 1980, they only made about 2900 twenty-gauge guns in all grades. Model 21's are fully capable of shooting the most powerful loads available, SO IF YOU LIKE MAGNUM LOADS FOR PHEASANTS, DUCKS, OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS YOUR GUN. Most every M21 20ga. you find will weigh between 61/2 to 7 1/4lbs. and feel like a heavy target gun, and they do well in that role. I purposely search out the rare lightweight guns that feel lively in hand and will not drag you down. Here we have the magic Model 21 20ga. upland gun…6lbs. and double triggers for instant choke choice when the bird flushes. This gun, sn4374 built in the early 1930’s, has been fully restored to perfection and has a very nicely figured factory stock with a superb hand-rubbed oil finish, perfect checkering, perfect mechanics, strong well-timed ejectors, and 100% blue on all metal. Factory choked at IC/M, mirror bores, mechanically perfect, and awesome stock dimensions make this a real find. IF YOU LIKE SPLINTER FORENDS, TWO TRIGGERS, EJECTORS, AND SUPER LIGHT 20GA. GUNS, THIS IS AN EXTREME RARITY! I have had over 500 M21 guns, and only 2 have been under 6 1/4lbs. and this is one of the two. You will likely never see another in your lifetime, and that is a fact. This is a Model 21 that feels like the classic English style field gun. Other than the quality restoration the gun is “as shipped” from the factory. A WINCHESTER MODEL 21 20GA.
