We are offering for sale an Original and in firing condition 1884 Trapdoor Springfield Rifle in .45-70 cartridge. The 32.75" barrel is very good inside and out considering its age and use I would say that the bluing on this one is over 50-60%. This gun comes with a heck of a rear sight you have to hold it at a 40 degree angle to reach the distance on the top setting. This of course is called the improved Buffington sight and it is huge. There were only 200,000 of these made and not a lot left around in original condition. The wood shows scuff marks but no cracks or deep gouges. There is some light rusting and minor pitting but nothing serious as you can see in the pictures. Actual piece is pictured. This is just one of our great collections of guns which will be updated from time to time with new offerings, so check us often. ****Please Read This Before Purchasing**** There are no refunds or exchanges for any reason whatsoever!!
