It was produced in the early nineteen-nineties with a serial number of MPD-15XX. Chambered in the S&W .40 caliber, the lack of a manual safety and relying solely on a 8-10 pound trigger pull bothered the city administration calling for a different weapon. This automatic is stamped with the Memphis seal on both the slide and the frame. Two eleven round magazines come with this weapon. This has a 94% condition due scratches on the stainless slide and alloy frame that atest to the fact that this auto was indeed carried on patrol and drawn from its holster more than a few times. The mechanical funtion is without a flaw. This is indeed one of the closest of those that are an automatic that works as a D/A revolver.
