Description: From its appearance and our scanty knowledge of whence it came, we estimate that this genuine Springfield Jr. Single Shot .22 was manufactured around World War I. It is entirely original except for its sights. We added a Williams front Sight, and the rear sight dates from the 1950s, marked Marble’s / Gladstone, Mich. Since this was a youth rifle to begin with, and since its original steel buttplate matches well enough except for some weather drawing to the buttstock, we believe the buttstock is original rough finish, as it was when it was originally marketed. We rate stock finish at a strong 70 percent. There is light chipping and rust residue visible at the buttstock’s edge where the buttplate fits, but we believe this comes from age. Barrel Brand Marking reads:

Page-Lewis Arms Company .22 LR Model 50 Chicopee Falls, Mass. U.S.A.

Metal finish is brown patina with some gray, and there is a considerable amount of original blue underneath the stock. About 40 percent of the metal surface on the barrel has light crusty spotting, or very light pitting. Bolt, as the photos show, is toned brown with some original white. Trigger guard, trigger surface and take-down bolt are all original, brown patina. Bore is good: rifling is visible and medium to strong all the way down, with very light pitting indications toward the muzzle. Bolt fits reasonably tightly in battery, and has some wobble during operation. Breech handle will move when a person shakes the rifle vigorously. Barrel length is 24 inches. This is a nice little representative of early youth rifles from the early 20th Century; and we’re offering it for only $ 219.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
