Description: Civil War Colt Model 1855 Sidehammer Pocket Revolver Model 5 - Cal. .31 - 3 1/2" bbl. - 5 shot - SN69XX(1863). Retains 85% + deep blue overall with most of the fading on the left side of the barrel - 90% + case color - excellent metal, markings and grips - no rust or pitting. Excellent, bright bore, crisp action. Very hard to find with this much original blue remaining. A fairly scarce "Root" as only 5600 of the Model 5 and 5A were made. A really sharp looking all original "Root" with lots of original finish in excellent condition
