Boot pistol made in the 1840's or 1850's possibly used in the Civil War.Barrel is octagonal and is about 3 1/2" long. No markings or proofs. The .45 cal barrel is rifled. The long bag grips of hardwood has a design made long ago on each side of a circle with dots, and a larger center dot. Functions very well, not a rusted out gun, metal is grey color.
