Description: Like several of its peers that we acquired, this 65-6 was manufactured in January 1998, according to Supica’s and Nahas’s serialization on its CCT prefix. It has the floating firing pin, beefed-up frame, beveled thumb latch, and MIM trigger but no internal lock. Some of the surface aspects that we describe are quite possibly original to this particular revolver. As most of us realized years ago, a Smith & Wesson is not a Colt: S&W factory finishes have always been a little rough by comparison with their less-corporately successful competitor, Colt. On this revolver, the principal detraction to this revolver is one small light scratch near the forward right sideplate screw, parallel to the plate seam. The two exposed plate screws show moderate stressing. This was, after all, a law enforcement agency revolver and was regularly inspected and serviced by armorers within the department. There are a few tiny pecks or small surface scratches on the right frame surface, affecting less than 5 percent of its total area. Left side surface has only one tiny peck near frame side top. Trigger guard underside has a buffed appearance, and has about a half dozen tiny pecks near its edges. Matte finish to top side of frame has two small scuffed or scratched areas that affect less than 5 percent of its area. Top side of barrel is excellent. Casehardened-type finish to trigger and hammer has some weakness on exposed area and grease-toning visible in round areas that recede inside frame during use. Lower points of trigger side have some dark toning, but this is normal on brand new Smith & Wessons with the MIM triggers and hammers. Cylinder front blacking is only moderate, but shows what is probably factory test firing after it was cleaned. Underside of topstrap, similarly, shows moderate blacking, especially directly above the forcing cone, but no damage. Two of the chambers have light scratches between the chamber and edge of cylinder. Bore and chambers are excellent. Timing is excellent on this revolver. After a very smooth and relatively light double-action pull, the hammer travels perhaps 2 degrees after the cylinder times. Hammer appears to travel a full 10 degrees after cylinder times during single action, and single action pull is very light, feels like about 3 pounds. Original Michaels grips have scuffing indications chiefly relegated to the butt and right panel. They grade Very Good. This excellent 1998 Pre-Lock 65-6 comes with its own generic factory Smith & Wesson brown box with correctly numbered re-label. We’re offering it for only $389.95

Don't let your buddies use your account. Registered user must be the buyer, with his or her own money. Buying firearms and related items for other people can result in felony charges. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
GA Pay buyers are NOT charged until we confirm we have the item and are ready to ship it. The same thing is true for phone-in, fax-in, and mail-in payments. In this respect, and in several others, Guns America outshines all its competitors. This is the best firearms website there is, hands down.
