The boxlock receiver displays classic Ithaca engraving including a ringneck pheasant on the left side and a woodcock on the right. Both birds are faded gold. Well done broad scroll and foliate type engraving surrounds the birds. The bottom of the receiver has a gold eagle (faded as well) with broad scroll. Receiver is gray with trace case colors (mostly in protected areas). With cocking indicators and tang safety/barrel selector switch. 30-inch best fluid steel rust blue barrels rate excellent. Choked full and modified. Good bores with only a few light pits in each barrel. Concave solid rib with machine cut pattern and gold bead mid sight and white bead front sight. The stock has a LOP of 13 3/4-inches over Pachmayr decelerator pad and is pistol grip variety with splinter type forend and nicely refinished. The pistol grip is two panel with fleur-de-lis. With checkered side panels. The forend is checkered with ribbons, with ebony tip and the finish is worn. This double weighs 7 1/2 pounds, has a drop at comb of 1 3/8" and drop at heel 2 1/2". A fine Ithaca 12-gauge double.
