Description: Stevens 44 Takedown - Single Shot is a custom rifle set up on a 44 frame. Serialized "19715", date of manufacture is 1 = 1957. Action is a lever operated falling block. It is a 25-20 WCF with a barrel that is 24 3/4", round BBL 100% blue bore as new. There are no sights, but the upper tang is drilled and tapped for Lyman or Marbles tang peep sight. The trigger is case colored. The receiver / frame is 100% case colored. The forend is checkered walnut in new condition. LOP is 13 1/2" over grooved steel butt plate case colored. Straight stock checkered new condition. Markings: Face of action is marked with 44 1 0. The overall condition of this piece: barrel; action; wood are in as new condition.
