This gun was made around 1928-9 at the beginning of the great depression. Ser# 541XXX range. This gun is 99% original blue and appears to be test fired only. Now for the odd part. All lettering is still raised along with the horse (ensuring factory stampings), but the gun has a couple of areas where there is prior pitting under the original blue. It is clearly stamped right over the slight surface imperfections. Figuring when it was made, Colt couldn't afford to scrap a slightly rusted frame? This HAD TO BE DONE BY THE FACTORY. But you decide! The gun has not even been cleaned, its in its original tattered box! Sorry no end label. If only this gun could talk! We will ship to a valid FFL only.
