PLEASE NOTE: MOST OF THE MESSAGES I RECEIVE THROUGH THE GUNSAMERICA SYSTEM END UP IN MY SPAM FOLDER. OFTEN, WHEN I REPLY TO A MESSAGE, I NEVER HEAR BACK. IT MAY BE ENDING UP IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER. PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER. NOTE THAT I ALWAYS RESPOND TO ANY INQUIRY - USUALLY PRETTY QUICKLY. THANKS! Serial #87xx, built on CZ BRNO VZ 24 action. 21 inch Shaw barrel and metal work done by Shaw. Butler Creek fiberglass stock. Very nice grey parkerized metal finish with matching Burris 2.75 grey matte finish (including rings)Scout scope mounted in Burris Scout base. Mounted with 8x40 screws. Matching parkerized trigger guard and bottom metal. Very nice custom bolt knob. Perfect feeding. Excellent bore and action. Wonderfully handling rifle in a very versalite caliber. Weighs 8 and 3/8 pounds (including scope and mount). Shoots 300 to 500 grain bullets. The .458 x 2" (also known as the .458 American) is essentially a belted .45-70. Make brass easily by shortening any magnum case to 2 inches. Dies readily available. I have dies, but won't sell them with the rifle as I have yet another .458x2". I've had three custom rifles in this caliber and I have been very pleased with all three. As this is built on a standard length Mauser action, you have much more flexibility than rifles built on short actions such as the original .458x2" Frank Barnes (cartridge creator) built on a Remington M722. I have never hunted this rifle but I have had it to the range many times and it is accurate. Scope IS included with auction! This rifle is put together right and is in excellent condition throughout! Need $30 for shipping and insurance. No international sales. Need current FFL; payment in the form of money order or cashier's check. Note that I do not have an FFL. If you are in a location that requires shipment directly from an FFL, this can be arranged for an additional $10.00. Please note that I make no claims or warranty as to the safety or shootability of any used firearm I sell. I endorse the general practice of having all used guns inspected by a certified gunsmith prior to firing. Three day inspection, minus shipping costs. No restocking fee charged in the event of a return (can you tell I've had this happen to me?). Check out my other custom rifles. Can e-mail more pictures. Thanks!
