Lightweight alloy that attains velocity of 1650 fps. Because of the high velocity such a small and lightweight bullet, this round packs a punch. When hitting a soft target, such as flesh,the bullet is designed to fragment, go off in different directions creating separate wound channels. This occurs because of the very deep hollow point and serrated design of the round. When hitting a hard target, wood, metal, etc, it closes in on itself for greater penetration. This round was found to penetrate Level II kevlar vests. When this became common knowledge importation of this round stopped. The production of this ammunition has since been discontinued.
