It was bought at auction when fox studios went out of business around 1952. It has a hole underneath the barrel where the smoker was attached and a hole in the back strap where the igniter button was attached. The pistol appears unfired with regular ammunition. It is tight and it still spells colt with the four clicks when you cock the gun. Bore has a few light specks of rust. The gun has never been sanded, polished, or cleaned up, just oiled. It has a 7 1/2in barrel and black colt grips. The frame and trigger guard are serial numbered 3560xx. The back strap is serial numbered 3538xx. The cylinder has a small #25 on it. The cylinder loading gate has #770 on it. It has a brass spacer between grip panels where the screw goes through. The gun shows some case coloring and has specks of light rust in places. The bottom of the grip is stamped fox studios. Included in photos is bill of sell where I purchased the pistol in 1998. More photos available upon request. Serious inquires only please.
