When our late previous proprietor left for law school in 1984, the younger brother, our present proprietor, began stocking the Savage 110 rifles like this one because they were an exceptional value. We sold them for a couple years for less than $200 apiece new. What surprised us all was their consistent excellent accuracy. We even began stocking 110 LA Steel Bases and Extension Scope Rings for them back then. They outshot the old M-77 Rugers, and held their own with the definitive 700 Remingtons, and occasionally outshot the Remingtons. Here is an Excellent Condition specimen of the fine Savage 110 Bolt Action, F serial number prefix. Its only surface detractions are a half dozen or so tiny superficial scuffs to the walnut-stained hardwood stock. It even has its original leather Savage sling, a prize in its own right. This rifle is excellent throughout, and has seen very little actual use. It came to us with a Korean Bushnell Sportview that likely dates it to the late 1980s.
