Here is an excellent set of genuine Mother-of-Pearl grips to fit any Smith & Wesson J frame round butt grip frame revolver. If the shopper is not clear about the difference between Square Butt and Round Butt grip frames on Smith & Wesson Revolvers, please peruse the comparate photo. Models for these include 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 48, 49, and the 6 prefix stainless and 3 prefix Air Lite variants with round butt grip frame only. The Model 34 and 63, 22/32 Kit Guns, have M frame designation for those unschooled in Smith-speak. These are heavy, well made, and smooth fitting. Both panels show fault lines, but this is normal for genuine pearl grips. Surface detractions are negligible, very faint scouring in the centers of the panels as the photos show. We classify them as Excellent, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Since there is some variations in butt pin length and positioning for J frame Revolvers, an owner should anticipate the possibility of fitting being required. These grips came to us from a Gibson County Tennessee Estate two years ago; from our knowledge of the late owner and from the manufacture years of his guns, we estimate these grips are mid, or perhaps even early, 1970s production. Photo specimen firearm, a 1993 model 442 Satin Nickel, is not included and not for sale in this listing.
