Description: Here is a percusion kentucky rifle that was probably made around the 1820s. It was originally flintlock but has been converted to percussion. It is .50 caliber and has decent rifling. I have fired this one a few times and it is pretty accurate. It has an engraved brass patch box and a few german silver inlays. The forestock has been replaced probably in the 1800s and there is a sliver of wood missing behind the breech on the left side of the tang, again happened a very long time ago as it is well worn. The lock has a strong mainspring and the double set triggers work very well. The stock has no damage or repairs to the wrist, it is a very slim slender stock. The gun is beautifully balanced and a pleasure to shoot.
