Serial #87162 .45 Long Colt 5 ½” barrel with a scattered lightly pitted bore. This revolver retains approximately 85% of a professionally applied reblue over scattered pitting on the yoke, cylinder and right side of the frame. There is a British proof and British Broadhead mark on the receiver. The barrel is marked Colt new Service on the left side. This revolver is perhaps one of the lend lease firearms loaned to the Brits during WWII. The Colt Gutta Percha grips rate very good save for the chip at the rear bottom of the left grip. A neat revolver with what appears to be an interesting history.
