Guns with the name Newport Model W were made by wither Crescent Fire Arms Company of Norwich, CT or Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works of Fitchberg, MA. The guns were made for and sold by the Hibbard Spencer Bartlett Company of Chicago, IL., a large wholesale sporting goods dealer. The serial number you give is on by the Crescent Arms Company and shows that the gun was made in 1903. Gun features walnut stock, nickel finish receiver, 26" blue barrel with a gold bead front sight, and 12 m/m choke. Gun is in overall good condition.
