It retains nearly all of it's silver plating although tarnished and perhaps 40% blue on the barrel - what has gone has flaked and it is not from wear of rust. Very little blue remains on the cylider. The markings there are sharp and defined as are the markings on the barrel. Nice case color remains on the hammer The rosewood grips show some slight wear to the edges but retain nearly all the original finish. Serial number is 117594 as marked on the butt along with the letter L, the significance of which is unknown. The bore retains nice sharp rifling with some slight spots. Action functions properly and there is a very slight looseness at the hinge. All in all, a very nice early Smith and Wesson. Shipped for $9.95 USPS Priority mail - insurance extra at your option. No FFL required but buyer must be 21 or older and provide proof along with a statement of eligibility. Sales to NJ must be through a FFL dealer.
