The original owner bought it back in the 80's and shot 6 rounds out of it to be sure everything was all well and put it up for safe keeping. The box was discarded. We didn't think about keeping boxes back then. The gun retains 100% of it's beautiful factory nickel with no scratches, scuffs, dents or dings. The nickel is mirror bright with no spider webbing which is prone to nickel guns. Beautiful Goncalo Alves checkered target stocks are perfect also with no scratches, scuffs, dents or dings. Blueing on the rear sight is perfect with no blue loss. I guarantee you this is the nicest 586 you will find without a box.
