From 1998 comes this superb Browning Gold Hunter semi-auto, 12 gauge 3 1/2 inch magnum with 26 inch Invector Plus Vent Rib Barrel and its original matte finish, graphite-base stock and forend that make it a Hunter or Stalker Variant. These fine shotguns are manufactured by FN in Belgium, assembled and finished in Portugal, just like their classic forebears from the 1970s and 1980s. This particular shotgun is a local one-owner, used in the duck pit but carefully maintained. It only exhibits faint amounts of whitening on its sharp edges of its receiver. Barrel has two rack scour spots on its side, and some case contact around its muzzle. We rate it as Very Good, close to Excellent, since no more than 15 percent of its surfaces are affected by our estimate. Photos, however, should suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Type is gas operated semi-auto Shotgun, 2 3/4 inch, 3 inch, and 3 1/2 inch Magnum capability interchangeably; magazine cut-off lever; 8 pounds 1 ounce weight empty; steel barrel and internal parts with lightweigh alloy anodized receiver; 14 1/2 inch length of pull buttstock including 1 1/4 inch recoil pad. It comes with one tube, a 4-slash Improved Cylinder, and Browning Invector Plus tubes are readily available throughout the country. This shotgun is excellent mechanically; bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent. Replacement pricing on similar models in our area is well over $1,100.00 apiece.
