Front sight is 3 position screwed on front with high visibility green fiber optic insert; and windage and elevation adjustable black anodized rear with white outline blade. Cylinder capacity is six rounds of .44 Smith & Wesson Special and .44 Remington Magnum interchangeably. Frame top strap is .290 thick and .735 wide at the forcing cone. Cylinder locks into place on two positions; note the stabilizing lever on the cylinder yoke. Ignition is flat faced hammer against floating firing pin, with transfer bar safety mechanism so that it will not fire unless the trigger is fully depressed. Trigger is .305 stainless smooth face, with matching serrated spur hammer. Double action pull is 12 pound vicinity two stage, with a 5 pound vicinity single action that has minimal felt creep from the factory. Grip frame is GP100 stem type; and the grips are Ruger factory issue Hogue Combat Monogrip® with finger grooves and stippled laterals. Frame is dovetailed on its top strap area for Ruger KD71 scope rings, the same as the M77 and Hawkeye series rifles. Weight empty with rings removed is 55 ounces, with center of gravity at the front cylinder face.
