No visible serial number. Only 1376 produced. Has correct stock made by Springfield from a surplus Civil War musket stock with faintly visible arsenal plug in ramrod channel on exterior and inlet for ramrod retaining "spoon" on interior under barrel. 1881 marked breech block. 26" barrel with brass bead front sight. Metal parts are well marked with an attractive patina overall and slight granularness to the surfaces. Stock is fair condition with a faint cartouche that is either 1882 or 1883. Stock has been cleaned with a piece of wood missing and associated crack near the barrel breech area on left side. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
