Overall height measures .315 with a leaf thickness of .250, height above the flat milled section of the slide behind the rear sight’s dovetail slot. This sight will only Smith & Wesson Pistols manufactured after 1990 when Smith & Wesson began installing Novaks on all their fixed sight Third Generation Pistols. It will fit models including 3904, 3946, 4003, 4006, 4046, 5903, 5906, 5946, 1006, 1076, 4506, 4516, 910, 911, 915, 6906, and 6946. These will not fit a Second Generation model 659; will not fit a 5906 with the early round rear fixed sight; will not fit any M&P Series Pistols; will not fit a 1936 Philco model 119 Television set. It will only fit the Smith & Wesson pistols we have enumerated above, and one that has an original factory Novak fixed rear sight. Allen mount set screws help ensure stability.
