Barrel length is 3 3/4 inches; overall extreme length is 7 inches; and height measured 90 degrees from the slide top is only 4 1/4 inches, 5 inches including the rear sight and magazine finger rest. Maximum slide thickness is only .998 inches, although the grips and the springs that they protect push grip frame measurement out to a maximum of 1.33 inches, including the slide stop. The .998, however, is what sticks down in the back of a person's pants, if a person carries like our photographer does. Note the extended beavertail backstrap area. Weight empty on this little Sig .45 is less than 30 ounces, very light and pleasant. Action is traditional double- and single-action with decocking lever.
