Please bear with us. Buyers who let us know who you transfer dealer is will get the rifle. We may already have your dealer's license. If he/she faxes or emails, please have your name and the word SKS on there. We are barely capable of connecting the dots, much less calling a dealer to get his or her license. We cannot reply to questions, Andy's box is 2000 - 3000 deep. Buyers may take a lower grade, but still very similar specimen to this one, still in the cosmoline for $329. Years of production are 1956, 1958, or 1959, we will honor requests as best possible. Numbers may not match on subs.
Our LG2620 Here is an eminently serviceable specimen of the Chinese type 56 infantry rifle chambered in 7.62x39 caliber, that we call the SKS. Manufacturer was Jianshe Arsenal in the People’s Republic of China, on Russian milling equipment and under Russian supervision. From its very early 6 digit 200000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1956, the First Year of Production, and a year when the US only had 350 advisors in South Vietnam. Importer is Century Arms International, so marked on the right side of the barrel. Type, of course, is gas operated semi-automatic rifle. Construction is milled blue steel barrel, receiver and parts; and Asian Hardwood stock. Barrel is standard 20 inch, calibrated military rear sight and elevation adjustable front sight, with drift capability for windage – on the well hooded front sight. Bayonet is period correct blade type. Surface detractions are only moderate, principally where the buttstock has extensive scouring and dinging, but no outright cracks. Trigger group, magazine, bolt, and receiver serial numbers are all matching. Stock cartouches match as well, so this rifle is entirely original. Note the strength of the bluing on this specimen, only edge whitening and inconspicuous finish freckling. We rate this type 56 as Very Good, 70 to 75 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore shows some etchy texture next to the gas port, but rifling is otherwise sharp and clean, especially the 6 inches forward of the port all the way to the muzzle. A principal reason this rifle is so well preserved is the grease we removed from it, enough to have a pretty good fish fry. Every buyer should disassemble and clean the bolt, see yooperj com SKS Page 25. This is a well made, well preserved, historic and collectable specimen whose mates popped caps at our soldiers in Vietnam. We’re offering it for only $ 389.00. Don't try, either, to circumvent any law; for example, a California civilian may not buy a high capacity magazine and have it shipped to his brother-in-law in Nevada. That is a felony.
