For several years, almost all the new Sig Sauer P226 Pistols we received came with factory issue magazines made by Mec-Gar. Here is Mec-Gar’s Compliant magazine for Sig Sauer’s P226 Pistol chambered in 9mm caliber. Manufacturer is Mec-Gar s.r.l. of Gussago , Italy. Importer and warrantor is Mec-Gar USA of Middletown, CT. Construction is heat treated folded steel body, with round count ports and steel music wire spring, and steel inner plate; and with black polymer tail piece and cartridge follower. Finish is polished surface blued, with milled back that is full length tig welded. Each magazine holds 10 rounds of 9mm caliber ammunition. These will only fit Sig P226 Pistols chambered in 9mm caliber. They are rumored to work in certain Taurus Pistols, but shoppers should consult that forum for more details. Replacement pricing on mec-gar com is $33, and they don’t ship free. We’re offering them each, however, for only $ 29.00.
